James Don Hill, 89, of Ringgold, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018. He was born in Ellijay, has been a resident of Ringgold for 57 years and was a charter member of Fellowship Baptist Church, East Ridge. James was a charter member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Local # 454, retiring in 1992 after more than 38 years. James was a loving father, grandfather, uncle and friend, who will be greatly missed.
He was preceded by his loving wife, Maredith Hill; three sisters; and five brothers.
James is survived by his sons, Larry D. Hill, James Mark (Mona) Hill and Jon D. (Shana) Hill; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 20 in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Chris Peponis officiating. Interment will follow in Anderson Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Monday and prior to the service on Tuesday.
