Southern Adventist University Announces Christmas Programming

The Southern Adventist University School of Music invites the public to two free concerts celebrating this time of year. 
 
Christmas Pops Concert:

Full of holiday favorites, the annual Christmas Pops Concert at Southern Adventist University will feature the university’s Wind Symphony, Jazz Ensemble, and Ringtones. Conducted by Ken Parsons and Laurie Cooper, the event will be on Saturday, Dec. 1 in Iles P.E. Center at 8 p.m. Selections include “’Twas in the Moon of Wintertime” by Robert W. Smith, “A White Christmas” by Irving Berlin, “A Holiday Rhapsody” by Larry MacTaggart and more.  
 
Amahl and the Night Visitors:

The Southern Adventist University School of Music invites the community to a performance of the classic Christmas opera “Amahl and the Night Visitors” on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 4 p.m. in the Collegedale Church of Seventh-day Adventists. Featuring the university’s Symphony Orchestra and two vocal ensembles, Bel Canto and Die Meistersinger, the production will be directed by Julie Penner with Laurie Redmer Minner as conductor.
