Alida "Jene" Johnson, 87, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018, in a local health care facility.

Mrs. Johnson was the daughter of the late Mary Ann Sheets Cook and James Collier Cook. Her husband, Walter "Dutch" Johnson, her great granddaughter, Amanda Arrowood and a host of other loved ones also preceded her in death. Mrs. Johnson was retired from Hardwick Clothes where she worked as a seamstress. She also worked many other jobs but her favorite was working for Bradley Cleveland Services (Life Bridges) where she loved helping the residents. She loved helping others in need and would willingly give a helping hand. Mrs. Johnson loved to travel, sew, arts and crafts and gardening. She loved animals, especially cats. She had a fur friend named "Pebbles" who was her pride and joy. She was also very knowledgeable of herbs and natural healings. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She loved her family and gave her all as best she knew how! Mrs. Johnson never met a stranger. She was open, welcoming, caring and loving to all who met her. She loved the Lord and was never shy to share her beliefs of thoughts with others especially the lost. She loved her church family and she was a member of the Beacon Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Roy Lee Russell, her daughters, Mary L. McBee and her husband Charles, Leslie Kay Barrera, her grandchildren, Laura West and her husband Gabe, Debby Killebrew and her husband Jake, Linda Arrowood and her husband Joe, Jason Barrera and his wife Rachel, Scott Barrera, Charles "Tony" Russell, her great grandchildren, Mashayla, Scotty, Jinna, Emma and Jaxson Barrera, Logan Brogdon, Jessica, Tyson and Courtney Burrell, Bailey, Gabriella and Kylee West, Tuesday and Shae Killebrew, Eric Ballard, Zackary and Sean Arrowood, her great great grandchildren, Trent Burrell, Braxton and Dakota Arrowood, Henley Ballard and Zane Barrera also survive.

The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Sunday, Nov. 25, at 3 p.m. from Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel with Reverend Floyd Boggess officiating. Interment will follow in the Chilcutt United Methodist Church Cemetery with Scott, Scotty and Jason Barrera, Zack and Sean Arrowood and Eric Ballard serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearer will be Jaxson Barrera.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
