Lee University is hosting the Senior Art Showcase now through Saturday, Dec. 15.
The showcase, which invites graduating art majors to display original bodies of thematic work, is available for viewing in the new art gallery in Squires Library and the Communication Arts building, both located on Lee’s campus.
“We are proud of the accomplishments of our students,” said John Simmons, assistant professor of art. “They show both their God-given talents and their individual creative efforts in producing first-class artwork.”
The exhibit showcases the work of five art students who will graduate this December: Kaitlyn Anderson, Sidney Hartley, Jordan Triplett, Kaylee Wiser, and Mark Wiser. Two art education majors, Alexia Escobar and Kelly Reamer, are also exhibiting this semester, as they will be student teaching in the spring.
Graphic design is a prominent feature of this art show, as four of the five graduates are in that particular discipline.
All art showings are free and open to the public.
