Susie Kitchen
Susie Lee Tucker Kitchen, 95, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at her residence.
She was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Mother Board.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Kitchen, Sr.; sons, John Kitchen, Jr. and Charlie West Kitchen; grandchildren, Eddie Kitchen, Jr., Maegan Kitchen, Brandon Young, and Tracy Moss; and six siblings.
Survivors include her sons, Minister Andrew (Angela) Kitchen of Warthen, GA, Minister Bobby (Gloria) Kitchen of Sparta, GA, Robert (Carla) Kitchen, Eddie James (Alyce) Kitchen, both of Chattanooga, and John Cummings of Warthen, GA; daughters, Nina Kitchen of Decatur, GA, Lennette (Ronald) Clark of Ooltewah, TN, and Betty Freeman of Chattanooga; a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Alfred Dixon, Milton Dixon, and Ulyesses Dixon, all of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Brenda Williams of Atlanta and Dannie Kitchens of Mitchelle, GA; sister-in-law, Geneva Bell of Chattanooga; aunt, Lula Cummings Tucker of Sandersville, GA; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
She will lie in state on Tuesday, Nov. 6, after 12:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home and a family hour from 6-7 p.m.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at noon at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Willie David Kitchens, Jr. as the eulogist. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
