Bobby "Bob" Cobb, 87, of Chattanooga, passed away peacefully in his home on November 2, 2018.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Alice and is survived by his daughters, Alissa Cobb (CB Norris) Becky Cobb, Courtney (Coco) Dauer, and son-in-law Jerry Dauer.

Born in Missouri and raised in California, he found his extended Alabama family when he married Alice. After his tour of duty as an Air Police Investigator in Korea, he attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he served as president of the SGA. In 1975 he was hired by Mose Lebovitz and worked for CBL & Associates until his retirement in the year 2000.

He was a musician and leader of the band “Bob Cobb and the Twi-lighters”, until the need for diapers outweighed the love of drums. A long-time member of the Civic Art League, he is known for his creations of gourd art and jewelry. As a volunteer with United Way of Chattanooga, he served on the Allocation Committee for over 20 years and was a member of Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church.
He was a devoted husband and father. His kindness and generosity extended far beyond his family to touch the lives of many others. These acts were always performed without purpose of recognition, and were rarely known to anyone other than the recipient.  To his three daughters, he was their hero.
Graveside services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.

Special thanks from the family to Nobility Home Care and Hospice of Chattanooga for their generous love and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga.

We invite you to send a message of condolence and view the Cobb family guestbook at www.HamiltonFuneralOptions.com.
