Betty Jean Padgett Latty, 81, of Chickamauga, Georgia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, surrounded by her family

Betty was a longtime resident of Chickamauga and retired from GA Natural Gas Company after 30 years of service.

She was a member of Temple Baptist Church but had been attending Parkway Baptist Temple for the past 10 years.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Randall Latty, parents, E.L. and Irene Padgett and brother, Paul Padgett.

She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Lamar Jones;  sister, Virginia (Phil) McKinney all of Chickamauga; brother, Bobby (Beverly) Padgett, Rock Spring, Ga.; aunt, Christine Padgett Davis, Ringgold; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great- nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Betty’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, in the funeral home chapel with Dr. David Sampson, Greg Taylor and Tony Padgett officiating.

Burial will follow at the Chickamauga Cemetery with Larry Padgett, Mark McGill, Danny Latty, Lanier Guest, Donny Phillips, Kevin Guest, Bill Lively and Curtis Ottinger serving as pallbearers.
