Jimmy Lloyd Dunnigan, 81, of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at his residence.

He was a graduate of Howard High School and continued his education at Chattanooga State and McKenzie College.  He employed with Tennessee Valley Authority.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Rothie Dunnigan, Sr.; brothers, J.L. Dunnigan, Robert Dunnigan, William Dunnigan, Jr., James Dunnigan, Walter Dunnigan, Terry Dunnigan, and Larry Dunnigan; and sister, Minnie Pinkard.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Anita Dunnigan; sons, Gregory Dunnigan, Barry “Bear” (Tresa) Dunnigan, Jeffrey “Man” Dunnigan, Marcus Rivers and Lyndell Dunnigan; daughters, Angelia Ramsey, Debra (Harold) Freeman, Victoria (Calvin) Griffin, Karen (Danny) Bowers, Patricia Moore, Sharon Harris, and Terry Sutton, all of Chattanooga; sisters-in-law, Betty Dunnigan, Joyce Dunnigan of Chattanooga, and Zana Dunnigan of Detroit, MI; and a host of other relatives and friends. 

He will lie in state on Thursday, Nov. 15, after 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Brother John R. Taylor, Sr. as the eulogist. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
