Cardiovascular Symposium Set For Feb. 9, 2019

The Chattanooga Heart Institute and CHI Memorial will host the 2019 Annual Chattanooga Cardiovascular Symposium on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at Embassy Suites, 2321 Lifestyle Way in Chattanooga.  C. Samuel Ledford, M.D., FACC, Mark C. Thel, M.D., FACC and David J. Wendt, M.D., FACC are the program directors.  A maximum of 6.3 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits have been requested.
 
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of internal medicine physicians, family medicine physicians, advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, nurses, interns and residents in primary care specialties, and medical and nursing students involved in the cardiac care of patients. 
 
Symposium topics include: lipid management beyond statins; cardiac management in women; stroke – minutes matter; SCD in youth athletes – Can we save lives?; atrial fibrillation: rate, rhythm, and stroke; electrical gadgets – EP roadshow 2019; have the ‘COURAGE’ to manage CAD; antiplatelet regimens: how long/how many; I think I passed out – finding the cause of syncope; CHF – outpatient management; cardiac PET; HTN – get with the guidelines; aortic valve evaluation and treatment, including TAVR; mitral valve evaluation and treatment, including MitraClip; arterial grafts in CABG – paradigm shift or gimmick; and cardiac potpourri.
 
The fee is $125 for physicians, $70 for advanced practice clinicians and $35 for RNs.  Registration is available online through Eventbrite, or by emailing your completed registration form to Donna_Jansen@memorial.org.
