The Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce hosts Raphael Bostic, Ph.D., president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, as keynote speaker for its Jan. 9, 2019 Economic Outlook Breakfast.
The Economic Outlook Breakfast celebrates local business success over the previous year and looks ahead to the future. Mr. Bostic will share his expertise related to economic trends and what to expect for doing business in 2019.
Mr. Bostic is responsible for all the Bank's activities, including monetary policy, bank supervision and regulation and payment services.
In addition, he serves on the Federal Reserve's chief monetary policy body, the Federal Open Market Committee.
"Raphael's experience spans academia, government and research," officials said. "He’s passionate about understanding the housing sector and how credit markets, financing and public policy work together to help people achieve the American dream.
"Since joining the Atlanta Fed as CEO, Raphael has spent much of his time on public outreach, sharing his deep knowledge of business and financial conditions."
Mr. Bostic is published in academic journals. He earned a Ph.D. in economics from Stanford University and his undergraduate degree from Harvard.
