The Reverend Chloe Ann Johnson-Littrell passed peacefully from this temporal life to life eternal in presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, at her home on December 16, 2018.

Early in his life he and Mrs. Johnson were devout Methodists. They were pioneers of the Pentecostal movement in Beech Creek , Kentucky early in the 1900’s. Chloe grew up in a loving, caring family of eight children. They were taught to love God and their neighbor, and to care and share with each other.

Chloe was a natural born nurse, named after Chloe Hinds the community nurse at the Beech Creek coal mine camp in the 1930’s and 40’s .

Chloe graduated from Hughes-Kirk High School. Beechmont, Kentucky. She was a model humanitarian and angel of mercy to hundreds of suffering people for 40 years. She combined her nursing-nurturing -teaching skills to serve as a short term missionary to India. She had a compassionate heart of gold, and was always asking, “ What can I do to help you?” She was involved in several community faith based ministries, including the Unity Center, and The Caring Place. To know her was to love her. She was under Hospice care for the past year, and each of the nurses and caregivers remarked about what a pleasant, sweet personality she had.

She was not only the daughter of a pastor, but also a pastor’s wife to The Reverend Dr. Terril D. Littrell for 59 years. Together they traveled and preached in missions in almost all of the United States , and in 10 foreign countries. Chloe kept her bags packed and was eager to enter into a new adventure.
