Three Boyd-Buchanan athletes signed to continue their athletic careers in college.
Boyd-Buchanan soccer standout, Hayes Wood, signed to play soccer in the Fall of 2019 with Lipscomb University.
Wood has 64 goals and 53 assists in four years at Boyd-Buchanan (eighth through junior years), and the team has amassed a record of 72 wins, 15 losses and 4 ties during those four years.
Lipscomb is a Division I soccer school and made it to the NCAA Sweet 16 this year for the first time in school history. Wood is excited about the opportunity of playing for the Bisons and would like very much to end up in the Sweet 16 again next year.
Boyd-Buchanan golfers Riley Barnes and Trent Cooper signed to play golf for Cleveland State.
The Cleveland State coach, Miles Mosely, stated that Riley and Trent would be a big plus for the Cougar golf team.
Barnes and Cooper lead the golf team to wins in the Bradley Central Invitational, the Buc Classic and District Tournaments.
They were part of eight Buc seniors that played in the state tournament, which included six boys and two girls.
