100 kindergartners from Snow Hill Elementary School helped make the holiday season "merry and bright" for the residents of Morning Pointe of Chattanooga – Shallowford by singing Christmas carols and passing out handmade cards.
The halls of Morning Pointe of Chattanooga – Shallowford were filled with the sound of dozens of small, sweet voices as 100 kindergartners from Snow Hill Elementary School sang Christmas carols for the assisted living community’s residents. After the program, the young students gave the residents handmade cards—and many of them gave out hugs, too. Not all of Morning Pointe’s residents are able to spend the holidays with their families, but seeing so many young and energetic faces really helped to put them in the Christmas spirit.
“The residents were thrilled with the visit and were happy to make many new friends,” says Holly Holcomb, the life enrichment director at Morning Pointe of Chattanooga – Shallowford.
"Here at Morning Pointe, we strive to offer inter-generational programming whenever possible, as it not only improves the lives of our residents, but also the lives of the young people who come to visit us."
