Garner, Myra Jean Roach

Myra Jean Roach Garner, 87, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018. She was born May 17, 1931 in Fackler, Al.

She was married to the late James Leonard Garner for 61 years. Mrs. Garner was a graduate of
Scottsboro High School in Scottsboro, Al. She was also a member of Lookout Valley Baptist Church and the Golden Circle Sunday School Class for 62 years. 

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jamie (Neil) Garner Koonce, of Knoxville; grandsons, Andrew Garner Koonce and wife Lexi, of Dallas, Tx. and William Ross Koonce, of Hyde Park, NY. 

She was the daughter of the late Myron and Fannie Roach of Fackler, Al. Siblings include Frances Worley and Evelyn 
Roach, of Scottsboro, Al., W.C. Roach, of Stevenson, Al., Roy Roach, of Mobile, Al. and the late Starkey Roach, of De Funiak Springs, Fl.; plus many nieces and nephews.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lookout Valley Baptist Church Golden Circle Sunday School Class, 23 Lilac Ave., Chattanooga, TN 37419.

Family will receive friends from noon-2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22 at Lookout Valley Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22 at the Lookout Valley Baptist Church, with Pastors Wade Casey and Troy Walliser officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery on Monday, Dec. 24.
