Chattanooga Police said they were told that the slaying of a 20-year-old Chattanooga man on Christmas Day was over a "personal dispute."
Gregory Scott Martin, 28, is charged with criminal homicide.
Martin's brother, Curtis Hart, said he took him over to Wimberly Drive to settle the beef.
He said Daniel came out and brandished a handgun, then laid it on a gray Camaro.
The brother said the two argued, then Daniel turned his back to go toward his gun. He said Martin then fired several shots at the victim. He said Daniel was not armed when the shots were fired.
Daniel was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Martin left the scene in the gray Camaro, but was later apprehended after the vehicle was stopped on Nautical Way.
