Firefighters Respond To Commercial Fire On Shallowford Road Early Monday Morning

  • Monday, December 3, 2018

Chattanooga firefighters responded to a commercial fire at 7008 Shallowford Road early Monday morning.

Captain Chris Fryar, the incident commander, said the fire was at a motel under construction, on the fourth floor.

Captain Fryar said it took the firefighters roughly 15-20 minutes to get the fire under control, mostly because of problems in initially getting to the fire.

The fire burned a 12 x 12-foot section of flooring. No injuries were reported. The loss was estimated at around $10,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
