The woman who was swept away in floodwaters in Marion County has been identified as Meaghan Cadwell of Chattanooga.

Her body was found about a mile away from where she tried to cross a rain-swollen creek.

The woman had been camping with two men.

She lost her footing as she tried to cross the creek.

Authorities said the water had risen suddenly.

The trio apparently had spent the night in a cave or some other cover.

The recovery was carried out by Hamilton County Stars.

A Go Fund Me page has been set up to help with funeral expenses.
