Clinton Louis Gard, 32, of Chickamauga, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, December 3, 2018. He was a lifelong resident of Chickamauga and a member of Elizabeth Lee United Methodist Church. Clinton was employed by Puckett EMS as a Paramedic and also worked with the Walker County Sherriff’s Office; in addition, he was a former member of the Walker County Fire Department. He was the current president of the Northwest Georgia Chapter of the Roughnecks and was a member of the Quitman Masonic Lodge, Ringgold. Clinton was a loving family member and friend to all who knew him, living his life serving others.
He is survived by Paul and Sheila (Kell) Gard, Sara Gard, and Kelli Gard, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7 at Oakwood Baptist Church, with Min. Roger Haston and Min. Zach Fitzpatrick officiating. Interment will follow in the Chickamauga City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. The body will lie in state from 1 p.m. until the funeral time at Oakwood Baptist Church on Friday.
