Chaudion Womble
Chaudion Womble, 71, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on December 8, 2018, at a local hospital.
Chaudion grew up in Flintstone, Ga., where he learned to train horses with his father and brothers. Following his service in the Vietnam War, he returned to the Chattanooga area where he led a lifelong career as an award-winning horse trainer at Mountain Shadows Stables in Flintstone.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred Shropshire Womble and Lee Andrew Womble.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 49 years, Rochelle; two sons, Shannon (Teresa) and Bernard (Robin); six siblings, Kathryn, Jimmy (Arzilla), Eddie B. (Marie), Gwen (James), Andrew (Seleste); and Sheldia Ann (Michael); three grandchildren, Donovan, Breniaha, and Jaylen; two god-grandchildren, Summer and Madison; two aunts and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
The body will lie in state after noon and the family will receive friends from 6–8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 14, in funeral home chapel.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. at Olivet Baptist Church.
Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery, Monday, Dec. 17, at 10 a.m.
