Billy Hyder
Billy Troy Hyder, 87, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018, in a local hospital.
He was born on March 25, 1931, in Ravenscraft, Tn., to the late William and Bonnie Hyder. He was preceded in death by his wife, Willine Hyder, sister, Winona Dunbar and brother, Dick Hyder.
Billy was a retiree of the United States Air Force and from TVA. He enjoyed spending time with his family as well as woodworking.
He was a member of Tyner United Methodist Church and was also a 32nd Degree Mason.
Survivors include his two daughters, Pamela (Rick) Hyder Johns, of Morristown, Tn., Teresa (Don) Hyder Smith, of Fairview, Tn., three grandchildren, Shelly (Beau) Austin, Brittney Hover, Morgan Smith, two great-grandchildren, Drew and Adley Austin, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Tyner United Methodist Church, 6805 Standifer Gap Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421, with Pastor Charlie Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m., in the Crossville City Cemetery in Crossville, Tn.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m.–12 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the church.
