Bowman, Barbara Jean

Barbara Jean Bowman, 83, formerly of Vivian, La., residing in Chattanooga and Ringgold, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018. She spent the remainder of her last three years at Martin Boyd Christian Home.

She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her children, Vicki (Bill) Melhorn of Chattanooga, Tim (Laurie) Bowman of Flinstone and Anita Kay Bowman of Ringgold; a beloved sister, Kay White of White Oak, Tx; brothers Bert Trotter of Vivian, La. and Lanny Trotter of Vivian, La.; a beloved sister-in-law, Anita Bowman Banadayga of Portland, Or.; five grandchildren, Josh (Erin) Melhorn of Signal Mountain, Tim (Megan) Bowman of Chattanooga, Lyndi (Julio) Berrones of Nashville and Noah and Nicholas Ankar of Ringgold; two great-grandchildren, Ally and Eden Melhorn; and numerous loving family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Martin Boyd Christian Home or Hospice of Chattanooga.

Graveside services will be held at the national cemetery, with Bro. Charlie Cochran officiating.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to a very loving friend and caregiver, Marsha Kidd, also the incredible staff at Martin Boyd Christian Home and Hospice of Chattanooga, for their compassionate care.
