Chattanooga Rising Dance Party Aims To End Violence Against Women

Tuesday, February 13, 2018

Chattanooga Rising, a city-wide dance party to end violence against women, will be held Wednesday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

One in three women will be beaten or raped during her lifetime. To raise awareness to that statistic and educate the community on ways to stop gender-based violence, Partnership for Families, Children and Adults is hosting a mid-day dance party.

There will be live music by the Joey Winslett Band and food from Dem Boys Mobile Eatery.

It will be held inside the Bessie Smith Cultural Center at 200 E. MLK Blvd.
