Answers Needed On Walker County Shooting Of Citizen In His Home - And Response

Wednesday, February 7, 2018

Open Letter To Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson:

It has now been 38 days since your deputy gunned down a Godly senior citizen in his own kitchen at 3:15 a.m. with three inside dogs barking.

To shoot a homeowner and a taxpayer several times through a kitchen window is very questionable. Yet no answers have come after 38 days.

The widower has not been contacted at all. Are the three deputies still on paid leave? Has the mother-in-law, who made the 911 welfare check call that sent the sheriff deputies there in the first place been arrested? Or exonerated? Is the GBI still investigating?  Is this shooting heading for the cold case file?

Where are these answers, sheriff? Does the public have a right to know the truth?

Floyd M. Shadrick

Sheriff Wilson was really hoping that you wouldn't bring this up anymore and it would all just go away. Trigger happy cops happen and we've seen it time and time again. No charges will be filed and injustice will prevail.

I applaud your effort, Mr. Shadrick, and hope that you keep shining a light on this case and bring about some sort of change in modern day "policing."
