Schmitt, Mary Ann (Ringgold)

Mary Ann Schmitt, 85, of Ringgold, went home to be with the Lord Monday, March 5, 2018. She has lived in Ringgold for 48 years, and was an active member of Ringgold First Baptist Church, where she served as church secretary for many years.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, CJ Schmitt.

She is survived by her son, Clint (Colleen) Schmitt of Ooltewah; daughters, Varen (Mike) Thacker of Ringgold and Vonya (Dan) Drinnon of Ooletwah; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at  3 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel, with Dr. Dan Whittaker and Reverend Eric Kennedy officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ringgold First Baptist Church, Annie Armstrong Easter Offering.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
