Held Long Career With Golden Flake Snack Food

Donald L. Vaughn, 83, of Lookout Valley passed away at a local hospital, surrounded by his family.

He was retired from Golden Flake Snack Food after 20 years of service.

Don was a member of Lookout Valley Baptist Church and the Golden Circle Sunday school class. He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge #673, the Eastern Star Chapter #483, and the Alhambra Shrine Temple. 

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Della Vaughn; three brothers, Arnold, J.B. and Billy Vaughn; one sister, Wanda Hartley.

Don is survived by his wife of 63 years, Martha L. Vaughn, three sons, Ronald, Eddie (Sue Anne), and Steve (Ruby) Vaughn; 3 grandchildren, Travis Mitchell, Brittany Nicole, and Lauren Marie Vaughn, and a host of friends.

A Celebration of Donald's Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 12, graveside at Lakewood Memory Gardens West. The family will receive friends at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Sunday, March 11, from 4-8 p.m.

Arrangements are under the care of Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist East Chapel, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge, Tn. 37412.
