The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Chattanooga Chapter, Inc. announced details of two of its signature events. The organization’s summer fashion show and golf tournament are two of the main fundraisers for NCBW to provide academic scholarships to high school seniors in the community, as well as other community-driven initiatives.
This year’s fashion show will be held on Saturday, June 23 at 11 a.m. at the Chattanooga Convention Center. This year’s theme is “An Extravaganza of Summer Fashions.” A vendor showcase will open at 9:30 a.m.
where patrons may shop for an array of merchandise before and after the fashion show. The show begins promptly at 11:30 a.m. Fashion show tickets are $50 each and vendor space is $165. For information regarding tickets, vendor space or the fashion show, contact Beverly McKeldin.
The Candace Golf Classic is scheduled for Tuesday, June 12 at Windstone Golf Course with an 11:30 a.m. lunch followed by a 1 p.m. shotgun start. The cost is $125 per player or $500 for a foursome. Monetary prizes will be awarded for a “Hole in One,” longest drive, closest to hole and putting contests. First, second and third place trophies will be awarded in three flights.
