JoAnn Holiday Johnson, 74, of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at her residence.
She was formerly employed by the Chattanooga Public Schools as a teacher’s aide at Hemlock Elementary. She was also a companion care assistant to the late Elizabeth McDonald.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Lou Griffin; nephew, Lonnie Armour; sister, Mary Lynn Cole; and niece, Angela Russell.
Survivors include her son, Jonathan (Angela) Holiday; five daughters, Phyllis Holiday, Tara Thomas, Veronica Holiday, all of Chattanooga, Glenda Holiday of Atlanta, and Doris Jackson of Houston; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; several other relatives and friends.
She will lie in state on Monday, June 11, after 9:30 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at noon in the chapel with Pastor Richard Bennett as the eulogist.
Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
