Mrs. Alma Ruby Watkins Foster, 99, of Acworth, Ga. went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday July 13, 2018 at her home. Born in Gordon County, Ga. on Feb. 28, 1919, she was the wife of the late David T Foster Jr, formerly of Rock Spring.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Foster Clark, of Acworth, Ga; son, David T Foster III (Deborah), of Ringgold; granddaughters, Christy Clark Ferguson (Danny), of Cartersville, Ga. and Brieanna Foster, of Trenton; niece, Sandra Hibbs Ward (Leslie), of Carrolton Ga.; three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many other nieces and nephews.
She was a 1939 graduate of Berry School for Girls, (Rome) and was active in her church and communities of East Ridge, Dolton, Il. and Rock Spring, Ga. for many years of her life.
Pallbearers will be Lebron Griffith, Jimmy Reed, Tim Clark, Chip Parrott, Marty Quinn and Johnny Bradford. Honorary pallbearers are Calvin Clark and Donnie Raines.
Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday at the funeral home chapel, with Eugene Griffith and Stephen Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
