Joann Boykin, 70, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, in the Hospice Care Center.
She was a 1968 graduate of Riverside High School and was a member of Bible Way Ministry. She was formerly employed by Hamilton County Nursing Home.
Survivors include her son, Carlos Boykin; granddaughter, Desheryl Boykin, both of Chattanooga; brother, Anthony (Michele) Boykin; aunt, Louise Harris, both of Dayton, Oh.; special niece, Carmen (Marvin) Bruell of Chattanooga; special friends, Kaye Clopton, Deborah Turner, both of Chattanooga; and other relatives and friends.
She will lie in state on Saturday, Sept. 1, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Pastor Walter Owens as the eulogist.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
