Jonathan Mason Thanks The Voters Of District 30

Monday, August 6, 2018

Running for this seat has been one of the most rewarding endeavors I have ever undertaken. My wife has handled every turn with grace and I could not be more proud and thankful to have her by my side.

I have built new friendships and strengthened existing ones. I am truly grateful for all the support that I received from the voters of District 30.

I would like to congratulate Esther Helton on her victory tonight and am happy to offer her my support.

I have the utmost respect for our democracy and the voice of District 30 voters.

In November, our focus as Republicans will be electing Bill Lee as the next governor of Tennessee and electing Marsha Blackburn to the U.S. Senate.

Thank you to all who have offered support for my campaign, and I ask that you join me in working towards Republican victories in November.

Sincerely,
Jonathan Mason

Roy Exum: Jalen Hurts’ Decision

Several weeks ago the “Ten Best-Mannered People of 2018” were named and of all the lists compiled in the country, this is my favorite. Drew Brees, the New Orleans Saints quarterback who virtually lives his life to enhance that of others, was the hands-down winner. He and his “Brees Dream Foundation” are so steeped in goodness it will make you cry. Justin Thomas, the pro golfer ... (click for more)

Lone Voice Against Another PILOT

Thank you Commissioner Tim Boyd for recognizing the con foisted upon the taxpayers by the Patten Tower project. I have railed against these PILOTs for years knowing full well that these tax deferments will be made up sooner than later on the backs of Hamilton County taxpayers. Unfortunately, you were the lone voice in this vote. Ron Ray (click for more)

There Is More Meaning To Soddy-Daisy, McMinn Game Than Just Basketball

Basketball will share the spotlight with a more serious subject next week when McMinn County visits Soddy-Daisy for a District 5-3A game. Cancer. The “C” word can strike fear into any person on the planet. Young. Old. Middle-aged people. Able-bodied folks. Basketball players. Or relatives of basketball players and, in some instances, coaches. That last category is what ... (click for more)

Red Bank Uses Forfeits To Nip Notre Dame

Notre Dame won the battle, but Red Bank won the war. These two proud teams squared off at Notre Dame’s Jack Steiner Sr. Gymnasium for a non-district wrestling match.
