Jasper “J.W.” William Brown, 71, of LaFayette, Georgia, passed away Friday, September 7, 2018.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a Purple Heart recipient.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Mary Brown of LaFayette; daughters, Twana Murphree of Rocky Face, Betty (Jeff) Ross of Tunnel Hill, Judy Hale, Olivia (Damon) Maher and Marlena (Johnny, Jr.) Stephens all of LaFayette; grandchildren, Jessica, Michael, Brittany, Brooke, Brett, Kelsie, Paul, Jr., Tyler, Chase, and Logan; great-grandchildren, Riley, Levi, Ellee, Rylan, Luke, Braden, Mila, and Alea; brothers, Roy Lee (Merita) Brown, Jr. of Douglasville, Ga., Rodney Brown, Wayne Brown and Tracy (Lisa) Brown all of LaFayette; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, in the LaFayette City Cemetery with Pastor Ricky Studdard officiating.
Pallbearers are his grandsons.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
