Karen Saxton went to be with the Lord after she was killed in a car accident on Highway 58 at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2018.

She is now in heaven and joins her father, Charles Edward Niager, along with three of her unborn children.

Karen was a teacher for 42 years and spent the past 24 years working at Westview Elementary School. As a young single woman, Karen used the 21st and 22nd years of her life to serve as a missionary in India, living out the gospel by teaching elementary age children.

Karen had a tender heart, a gentle spirit, and loved others well: sacrificially and joyfully. Of all her accomplishments, her greatest was being a sinner saved by Grace. She will be dearly missed.

Karen is survived by her son, Jeff Reid; her husband, Tim Saxton; her mother, Willene Niager; sisters, Sheryl (Reid) Saxton, Patrice (Nelson) Mitchell; brothers, Keith (Janet Niager) and Paul (Maribeth) Niager.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 28, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 27, from 2–8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 East Brainerd Road.
