Mary Lou Scheuermeier, 85, of LaFayette, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018.

She was a member of the Gordon Lake Wesleyan Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pastor Paul Lee Scheuermeier; great granddaughter, Karmyn Carrington; parents, Lee Darnell Cochran and Ida Lou Ballinger Cochran; sister, Peggy Cummings; and brother, Joe Cochran.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Doug) Andrus of Xenia, Ohio; son, David (Connie) Scheuermeier of LaFayette; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sisters, Cordia Parker of Sylvania, Ga., Mildred Baker of LaFayette, Rose Holbrook of Cloudland, Ga., and Gayle Medina of LaFayette; brothers, Charles (Nancy) Cochran and Ray (Richard) Cochran both of LaFayette; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 7, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ashley Mew officiating. Interment will follow in the LaFayette City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
