Former Catholic Priest Who Was Convicted Of Rape And Who Served In Chattanooga Dies In Prison

A former Catholic priest who once was assigned to Chattanooga and who pleaded guilty to molesting and raping a boy has died in prison.

Authorities earlier said Edward J. McKeown had a pattern of abuse involving some 30 boys over more than two decades.

From 1970-1989 McKeown served in parishes across the state, including Nashville and Chattanooga.
