Duplex Fire Displaces 2 Families

No injuries were reported in connection with a duplex fire in Woodmore on Thursday night.
 
The Chattanooga Fire Department received the alarm shortly before 9 p.m. and responded with several fire companies to 727 Woodmore Lane.
 
Captain Kevin Carpenter said the firefighters were able to get the fire under control quickly. However, there was enough damage to displace two families.
 
Volunteers with the American Red Cross were called in to provide assistance to the residents affected by the fire.

An estimate on the dollar loss was not available.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
