James “Larry” Duncan, 79, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019.  

A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Larry was a member of Tyner United Methodist Church. Mr. Duncan established the Delta Bass Club and was a member of the Chattanooga Bass Club. He was Chattanooga’s Mr. Bass for two consecutive years. Mr. Duncan was one of three men to ever pitch a perfect softball game at Warner Park and was the owner of Hickory Valley Motors for 35 years.

Larry is survived by his wife of 56 years Patsy; daughter, Susan (Rob) Stone; son, Terry Duncan; grandchildren, Brittney Loizeaux, Cameron Stone, Chelsea Duncan, Courtney Nicholson, Seth Duncan and five great-grandchildren.

There will be visitation from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19, at Turner Funeral Home at Highway 58. The Celebration of Life will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel.
