Baylor Boys Stay Undefeated With Buzzer Beater; Beyuan Hendricks Passes 1,000 Point Mark

Beyuan Hendricks' 3-pointer at the buzzer gave the Baylor basketball team a 54-51 victory at Brentwood Academy, the 14th straight win for the undefeated Red Raiders. Hendricks finished with three 3s and 21 points to lead all scorers.

Greyson Linderman added three 3-pointers for nine points, Blake Pruitt had two 3s and finished with eight points, Wiley Pippenger had two 3-pointers for six points, and Lorenzo White and Nick Kurtz scored five points each.

Brentwood Academy was led by Marcus Fitzgerald with 19 points.

Brentwood Academy 69, Baylor Girls 21. With leading scorer Raegyn Conley out with a knee injury, the Baylor girls' basketball team lost to Brentwood Academy 69-21. Kortney Restelli had six points for the Raiders, Hayden Barton added five with one 3-pointer, Brooklyn Gordon had four points, Britt Barton and Macy Ann McKnight had two each, and Kyndall Shamblin and Cadashia Collins scored one point apiece. Brentwood Academy's Maggie Brown led all scorers with 12 points.

Baylor Boys 51, Father Ryan 30. The Baylor boys made 10 3-pointers for the second game in a row, beating Father Ryan 51-30 in Duke Arena Saturday. Blake Pruitt had the hottest hand, hitting four 3s and finishing with 14 points to lead the Raiders. Beyuan Hendricks hit two 3-pointers on the way to nine points, Greyson Linderman had two 3s for six points, Nick Kurtz and Wiley Pippenger added six points each, Lorenzo White scored five points with a 3-pointer, Baird Thoni had one 3-pointer, and Grant Johnson scored two points.

Hendricks was honored before the game for surpassing the 1,000 point mark in his Baylor career.

Baylor, 15-0 overall and 5-0 in region play, travels to Chattanooga Christian Tuesday.

Brentwood Academy 59, Baylor JV Boys 43. In JV boys' action at Brentwood Academy Friday, Baylor lost 59-43. Eli Sparkman made three 3-pointers for nine points to lead the Raiders, Carson Yates added seven points, Watson Brown and Pete Collins had five points with a 3-pointer each, Cooper Kinney added five points, Patrick Johnson and Robert Morton hit one 3-pointer apiece, Ethan Wright had three points, Ben Sparkman had two, and Jeremiah Skipworth scored one point.

Baylor JV Boys 62, Notre Dame 40. Baylor jumped out to a 19-4 lead and never looked back, trouncing Notre Dame 62-40 in Saturday's JV boys' basketball action. Saad Mohammad hit three 3-pointers and finished with 13 points to lead the Raiders. Robert Morton and Carson Yates added 12 points each, Eli Sparkman scored nine points, Pete Collins had six, Jeremiah Skipworth five, Cooper Kinney four, and Hunter Herndon scored one point. Morton, Sparkman, and Skipworth had one 3-pointer each.

Baylor JV, 6-2, plays at CCS Tuesday.
