The CCS boys basketball team improved to 15-3 on the season Tuesday night beating previously unbeaten Baylor 69-58.
The Chargers jumped out to a 12 point lead in the fourth quarter and senior John Rhodes hit 10-12 free throws in the fourth to hold on for the win.
Rhodes finished with 18. CCS was led in scoring by Micheal Houge who battled inside for 26 points including 14 points in the first half.
Baylor was led by Beyuan Hendricks who had 21 points. He scored 10 of those in the fourth quarter as the visitors tried to make a run on the Chargers. Lorenzo White scored 10 of his 12 points in the fourth quarter.
CCS GIRLS 34 BAYLOR 32 The Lady Chargers jumped out to a 13-4 first quarter lead but Baylor battled back in the second quarter tying the game at 16 going into the second half. Both teams battled for the lead in the second half. CCS's Savannah Ricketts scored late in the game to give CCS a 34-32 lead and the Lady Chargers held on for the win.
Addie Henry led CCS with 13 points. Baylor was led by Hayden Barton with 16 points.
