Virginia Allison
Virginia Kirk Allison, 89, of Dalton, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday January 15, 2019 at Wood Dale Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Allison; parents, John H. and Ora Steele Kirk; sisters, Freida M. Kirk, Edna Kirk Perkins; brother, Kelsy Kirk; brothers-in-law, Clyde Beavers and Charles Perkins.
Virginia was a devoted member of the Grove Level Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Wallace Wilkins of Dalton; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Steve Allison and Jerry and Angie Allison, all of Dalton; sisters, Emma Jean Moore of Rossville and Sula Beavers of Ft. Oglethorpe; brother and sister-in-law, J. W. and Joy Kirk of Fort Oglethorpe; sister-in-law, Betty Kirk of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Cara and Marcus Standifer of Chattanooga, Anna and Brandon Parker of Ringgold, Patrick and Melissa Ricker of Daytona Beach, FL, Matthew and Leslie Wilkins of McDonough, Ashley and Aaron Worley and Nathan Allison, all of Dalton; great-grandchildren, Finn Ricker, Allison Coomer, Alyssa and Garrett Standifer, Maylee, Emory, Reid and Natalie Parker; nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service will be on Thursday, Jan. 17, at 3 p.m. at Grove Level Baptist Church with Dr. Charlie Bridges officiating. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at Julian Peeples Funeral Home Pleasant Grove Chapel.
