Terry “Big Papa” Kimbrough, 53, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2019 in the Hospice Care Center.
He was employed by Baylor School as a cook and caterer. Terry owned and operated Terry’s American and West-Indian Restaurant. He was a member of New Life Seventh-day Adventist Church where he was a member of the senior choir, male chorus, former sound technician, and served on the Hospitality Committee.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Zonnie Mae Wilson; sister, Cynthia Kimbrough; devoted aunt, Johnnie Kimbrough; and devoted uncle, Winston Kimbrough.
Terry is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Vanessa Rosette; children, Alysia, Coral, and Amanda Scott (devoted son-in-law, Ricus Langston); six grandsons; five granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; sister, Trista (Marvin) Jordan; brother, Samuel Kimbrough; five stepbrothers and sisters; one goddaughter; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
He will lie in state on Friday, Jan. 18, after 12:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, Jan. 19, at 3 p.m. New Life SDA Church with Pastor Aaron N. Mills, Jr. as the eulogist.
