Grady Luke "G.L." Chambers, 92, a native of Ringgold, passed away at his home on January 17, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. His commitment to the Lord was his greatest motivation in life. He was a graduate of Ringgold High School, Edmondson School of Business and a First Attendee to Boys State. G.L. was a 33 year retiree of DuPont, and served 20 years on the Catoosa County Tax Board. He was a deacon and Sunday school teacher at Boynton Baptist, Briarwood Baptist and Ringgold First Baptist.
Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Nancy; daughter, Deborah (Jerry) Payne; sons, Randall and Richard Chambers and Reece (Amy) Chambers; grandchildren, Shannon (Kevin) McElhaney and Dewayne Payne; great-grandchildren, Tori, Katherine Grace and Charlsie McElhaney; and brother, C.B. Chambers.
The family would like to thank Patty Ceccotti with Chattanooga Hospice and G.L.'s many loving caregivers.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Ringgold First Baptist Church, with Rev Bruce Sloan officiating.
