DeepZoomChattanooga.com Is Now ChattanoogaHistory.com

  • Sunday, January 27, 2019

Five years after its launch, a website known for promoting local history through unique and interactive images has changed domain names to better match the content and goals.

Sam Hall, the site’s creator, said DeepZoomChattanooga.com Is Now ChattanoogaHistory.com.

He also unveiled some new features and content including:

·         Photos in the image gallery are now geo-tagged in a map for known locations

·         Site-content search feature

·         Best-practice SSL-compliant security in place

·         Multiple new pages of content

Mr.

Hall noted, “The previous domain name was somewhat limiting and hard to remember. The new name also allows me to present more types of content without conflicting with the site’s theme.”

Collaboration with other area history enthusiasts will continue to drive new content. Hall stated;

“There is a huge interest in Chattanooga area history. Individuals and independent groups will, for the foreseeable future, continue to be the driving force of locating content and ensuring public access.”
