Chattanooga Area Brain Injury Association Presents 14th Annual Education Conference April 10

The Chattanooga Brain Injury Association (CABIA) announces the 14th Annual Education Conference, “Brain Injury: Bridge to New Pathways”, on Wednesday, April 10, at the Colonnnade in Ringgold.  The conference will bring together medical professionals, caregivers and brain injury survivors to address current trends in treatment, service and care of individuals with brain injuries.  A diverse cross section of speakers including providers, service specialists, caregivers and survivors will discuss multiple topics significant to rehabilitation and moving beyond the diagnosis of brain injury.  Six and one-half hours of Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be offered through the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

- Trauma – TBI – PTSD – Thomas McLaren, PhD

- A Journey to Recovery – Leo Morales, BA

- Food for Thought – Impact of Nutrition on Brain Recovery – Suzannah Bozzone, MD

- Mental Health and Traumatic Brain Injury – Don Hanson, LCSW, STD

- Food for Brain Recovery Cooking Demo – Christine Smith, RN, BS, Certified Health Coach

- Pediatric Brain Injuries – Joseph Miller, MD

- Impact of Tai Chi After TBI – Josh Schklar, OT

- TBI in the Military: Incidence, Effects and Resources – Marsheila Tincher, BSW, MSW, LCSW

- Concussion Treatment Updates – David Bruce, MD

Tickets are $55 (without CEUs) and $85 (with 6.5 CEUs) if purchased before March 31, and may be purchased here.  Tickets purchased after March 31 are $95 (without CEUs) and $125 (with 6.5 CEUs).  Tickets may also be purchased at the door for $150.
