CHA Releases 100 Vouchers To Assist Displaced Residents From Chatt City Suite

  • Friday, January 4, 2019
The Chattanooga Housing Authority announced today that 100 Housing Choice Vouchers will be made available to eligible and qualified applicants who will be displaced from Chatt City Suites. The CHA is working to connect residents with local landlords in Hamilton County to pursue housing options.

Theresa Biggs, housing navigator with the CHA said, “We have a tremendous need for one bedroom units to accommodate these residents. We are working closely with other partner agencies to address each resident’s unique needs.
These vouchers are just one of many resources that will be used to secure affordable housing.”

With residents given limited time to find other housing options, the community is being asked to step up to meet the challenge. The CHA will hold an informational session about the Housing Choice Voucher Program for interested landlords on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at 801 North Holtzclaw Ave. in Chattanooga.  Anyone who owns rental property and is willing to participate in this effort is asked to email the CHA at ed@chahousing.org.
