As I start my day I am reminded of an eyesore which remains, the old Peerless Mill building in Rossville, Georgia. Why is this building still standing when the new owners said demolition would begin last November? A building where you can clearly see through the broken windows through the fallen roof inside.
Although this grand structure was a historic part of Rossville where many families worked for generations, it was allowed to rot. I'm sure there is a way to better utilize this area instead of leaving it to be a continual eyesore for Rossville.
Why hasn't something been done? Why has this been allowed to continue to hurt Rossville? We need an update on this building and what the current owners have planned for this area.
We want new businesses to choose Rossville. Drive through and see all the run down buildings with boarded up windows and the falling-in mill and ask yourself, would you build your business here? Not likely.
Let's get Rossville cleaned up, starting with Peerless.
