Charlie William Cook, age 89, of Tunnel Hill, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at his residence. 

He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Lloyd Smith; his granddaughter, Tabatha Smith; five brothers and two sisters.  

Charlie was a member of North Whitfield Baptist Church. 

He is survived by his wife, Betty June Coker Cook of the residence; a daughter, Judy Smith of Tunnel Hill; sons and daughter-in-law, Steve and Brenda Cook of Easley, S.C., Terry Cook of Tunnel Hill; sisters-in-law, Sandra Cook and Shirley Talley of Tunnel Hill, Fannie Bell Reese of Adairsville, Ga.; grandchildren, Heather Smith, Holly Lane, Emilee Kolakowski, Christopher Cook, Jennifer Byrnes, Ethan Cook; great-grandchildren; Esai and Mia Lane and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be Friday, Jan. 11, at 2 p.m. at the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Lillard Stringer and Rev. J.T. Sanders officiating. 

The family will receive friends at the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples funeral home on Thursday, Jan. 10, from 5-9 p.m.

Burial will be at the Dogwood Valley Cemetery.
