Second Life Tennessee will mark National Human Trafficking Awareness Day with the first-ever Gaining Clarity Conference, a free seminar focused on educating the community about the dangers and realities of human trafficking in Tennessee.
The seminar will be held on Friday, Jan. 11 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Double Tree Hotel, 407 Chestnut St. in Chattanooga.
Participants include Second Life Tennessee, Mayor Andy Berke, Mayor Jim Coppinger, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and keynote speaker and author Savannah Sanders.
"Gaining Clarity will enable attendees to recognize, report and serve survivors of human trafficking in a trauma-informed manner," officials said.
