The autopsy results remain pending for the eight-year-old Chickamauga boy who was found dead behind his home last Thursday evening.
Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson said the cause and manner of death for Bentley Carter Robbins would not be released yet.
He said, "Testing is still in progress by the medical examiner and his staff. A report of the medical examiner findings are projected for 4-6 weeks from today."
He had left Chattanooga Valley Elementary School ill earlier that day.
He was born in Cookeville, Tn.
He attended kindergarten and first grade at Hixson Elementary and was currently in the second grade at Chattanooga Valley Elementary. He enjoyed playing X-Box, playing outside with his siblings, loved Batman, sharks, trains, swimming, going to waterparks and pleasing his mommy, his family said.
His funeral was held on Wednesday.
