The Division II-AA region soccer tournament continued this weekend with GPS blanking CCS 5-0 and Baylor losing to Knox Catholic 2-1.
Kennedy Ball led the Bruisers with two goals, while Chapel Tremain, Alex Magill and Sydney Morris each had a goal.
GPS assists were provided by Meg Priest and Morris with two each.
Ball added an assist of her own.
The Lady Red Raiders gave up a second half goal in the 52nd minute as Knox Catholic earned the 2-1 win.
Knox Catholic scored their first goal in the 36th minute but Baylor answered with a Jada Cooper goal in the 39th minute. It was 1-1 at the half.
Knox Catholic scored the go ahead goal in the 52nd minute and held on for the win. Baylor out shot Knox Catholic 13-3. Addison Yelton had three saves for Baylor.
GPS advances to the region championship which will be played on Thursday against Knox Catholic
Baylor advances to the consolation side of the bracket and will play CCS on Tuesday.
