Becky Hansard Is Speaker At SCWN Luncheon Oct. 24

  • Wednesday, October 16, 2019

Scenic City Women’s Network will host a Networking Luncheon on Oct. 24 featuring speaker Becky Hansard, director of the Silverdale Baptist Academy. This networking event will convene at the Mountain City Club, 729 Chestnut St. in Chattanooga, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

Mrs. Hansard holds a B.S. in Special Education K-12 from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, a master’s degree in administration from Trevecca University, and a fellowship in educational leadership from Washington, D.C. Mrs. Hansard has been at Silverdale since 1999. "I am passionate about educating children and young adults and leading them to the realization that being educated well will be the most powerful tool they will ever hold on their way to change the world. I believe that becoming educated will always be a lifelong process. Charlotte Mason, a Christian Victorian educator, once said, 'We hold that all education is divine, that every good gift of knowledge and insight comes from God. The culmination of all education is that personal knowledge of and intimacy with God is the way in which our being finds its fullest perfection.' I agree completely."

Mrs. Hansard is married to Rick Hansard, Coca~Cola executive.  She is a breast cancer survivor.  "October is Breast Cancer Awareness.  Join us she shares her story of faith, hope and healing," organizers said. "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10.  Join us and be inspired by speaker, Becky Hansard.  Meet-up and network with like-minded business individuals and exchange your business cards during networking from 11:30 a.m.-noon. Lunch and program begin at noon."
